Assam Orunodoi Scheme 2024

This scheme has been started by the Government of Assam on 1st September 2020. Through the Arunodoi Scheme, the state government will provide ₹ 830 per month to the beneficiaries of the state to buy items like medicine, pulses, sugar, etc. Along with this, ₹ 400 will be provided to buy medicine and ₹ 200 to buy 4 kg pulses. The state government will provide Rs 80 for buying sugar and Rs 150 for buying fruits. The amount received through the Assam Orunodoi Scheme will be transferred to the bank account of the beneficiaries. 2400 crores will be spent annually on the scheme by the state government.

Through this scheme launched by the state government, the beneficiaries of the state will start getting a fixed additional amount in October. The government will also give Rs 250 to citizens under this scheme to help economically disadvantaged families pay their monthly electricity bills.

The objective of the Assam Orunodoi Scheme

The main objective of the Arunodoi Scheme launched by the Government of Assam is to provide various services to the citizens of Assam. This scheme will also reduce the financial problems of the citizens of the state to a great extent.

Beneficiaries and benefits under Assam Orunodoi Scheme

• The benefit of this scheme launched by the state government will be provided to the female members of the state. Under priority will be given to those families who are unmarried girls with disabilities. The state government is also planning to add eight lakh more families under this scheme. So far, out of 22 lakh beneficiaries under Assam Orunodoi, the Assam government has transferred an amount of 18.60 lakh to the families of 29 districts. Assam government has covered 22 lakh beneficiaries under this scheme.
• It has been announced by the state government that they will provide the benefit of this scheme to other districts after the BTC elections. Some of these districts are Kokrajhar, Chirang, Baksa, and Udalguri.
• Under this scheme, the amount will be started to be provided to the beneficiaries of the state on the 1st of September 2020 of November. In September, the amount will be transferred to the bank account of all the beneficiaries on 26th December 2020.
• The following assistance will be given by the state government under the scheme. 800 per month will mean an additional annual income of Rs. 10,000 for poor families.
• Along with this, the state government will provide free sterile napkins to young women in government-aided schools from class VI to 12 in the state.
• A measure of Rs 2800 crore is reserved under the Assam Orunodoi Scheme. Every year 27 lakh helpless families will be given ₹ 10 thousand through DBT.
• To improve the foundation, the government will give Rs.25 lakh per school for 200-grade schools on a pilot basis.

• All those families who do not own two or three-wheeler tractors under Self Help Groups are eligible to avail of the benefit.

• The family does not have any female members in the washing machine AC house. So he is ineligible for the citizen scheme.
• The families of the state who have 15 bighas of land, four-wheelers, fridges, an income of Rs. 2 lakh, and own tractors are not eligible for the Orunodoi scheme.
• If any member of the family works under Government Public Undertakings then he is not eligible to take benefit of the scheme.
